BreatheBuddies: Calm in the palm of your hand!
BreatheBuddies are squishy, high-tech stressballs that help people relax by guiding them through calming breathing rhythms using lights and vibration patterns!
BreatheBuddies was an idea taken from concept to physical product. From ideating, to prototyping, through user-testing, and finally, refinement of final materials and PCB board design.
3D Printed Shells are perfect for rapid-prototyping the component shells. We went through many iterations before arriving at a final design.
We also used 3D prints to make the silicone mold.
We also created no-tech stressballs to use as a fun promotional item and gain user insights on the shape.
BreatheBuddies was developed further at the Rochester Institute of Technology Student Incubator and the D3 Startup Incubator in Montreal, Canada. As part of these experiences, I conducted over 100 customer interviews and in-depth market research, learned to develop and refine business plans, learned to brand and advertise in meaningful ways that catch people's attention, and practiced pitching ideas to potential investors. Both incubators were incredible times of growth and self-development.
